Schoodic International Sculpture Symposium is a biennial event that brings together artists, visitors, and communities to create a Public Sculpture Collection in eastern Maine. Symposia last 6-weeks, from late July to early September. Artists from around the world are selected through a juried process to participate. Visitors can watch the sculptors work and see them create their sculptures. The finished pieces are placed at public sites in Maine communities. The next symposia is scheduled for 2011.The Schoodic International Sculpture Symposium is currently accepting applications from interested artists.
