Maine Art Scene magazine is excited to announce its fourth annual multi-disciplinary virtual showcase of contemporary Maine painters, fine art print makers, fine art photographers, sculptors, potters, furniture makers, mixed-media and multimedia artists.
Previous exhibits continue to be seen by thousands of online visitors and receive enthusiastic feedback. The virtual showcase has been used by fine art gallery owners to find Maine artists for shows, publishers for feature articles, as well as art collectors.
This statewide interactive showcase will be available online at maineartscene.com and maine-art-exhibits.com in March, 2013. As with the previous showcases, the selected works will become part of Maine Art Scene’s permanent virtual art library.
Chosen works will be displayed in a virtual format that resembles an actual gallery space, with various rooms to navigate, and artwork and labels to zoom in on.
To celebrate the 5th anniversary of mainerartscene.com, this year a special selection and virtual exhibit of five featured Maine artists will complement the 2013/2014 showcase. The artists will be selected by this year’s jury independently from the statewide showcase, and will receive an award as well as free promotions for the upcoming year on Maine Art Scene. The five artists will be given their own separate virtual exhibit room(s), showcasing a larger/more representative selected body of their respective work.
