Maine Artist Finalist in Martha Stewart’s American Made Awards

Vote Today!

Jared DeSimio, of Brunswick, has been chosen as one of 100 finalists in Martha Stewart’s American Made Awards. He was chosen from almost 2,000 nationwide entries for his handmade bags and accessories, which he describes as creations made from “vintage, antique, salvaged and upcycled materials to create functional accessories that live on to tell the next story and create the next memory.”

The Audience Choice winner—the finalist who receives the most votes—will be announced online October 8. The winning entrepreneur will receive $10,000 to further his or her business, in addition to being featured in the December issue of Martha Stewart Living. The contest celebrates small, creative American businesses.

Voting for the contest takes place online at http://americanmade.marthastewart.com/finalists. Voters can cast their vote once a day through September 24.
