The Maine College of Art and the Furniture Society invite you to join them June 13-16 at the Maine College of Art in Portland for FS2012: Design, Community, and the Sublime, a conference dedicated to Maine's craft artist community.
Tours will be offered on Wednesday the 13 to:
- Thomas Moser Studio, Pineland Farms and Sabbathday Lake Shaker Village
- Center for Furniture Craftsmanship and Lie Nielson Toolworks
- Watershed Center for Ceramics Arts and Haystack Mountain School of Crafts
From the 14 to 16 the conference will offer gallery receptions, keynote speeches by Sherwood Hamil and Angela Adams, workshops, moderated discussions, lectures and valuable opportunities to meet some of the foremost furniture and craft artists in Maine.
