Join us for the Maine State Poetry Out Loud Finals March 23
The state final for Poetry Out Loud is coming up fast and the excitement is mounting for all involved. We have our ten finalist who will are vying to represent Maine at the national finals in April.
These students have already progressed through their school competitions and a regional final to be among the final 10 from approximately 8,000 that began this journey in December. They are already champions and we at the Maine Arts Commission congratulate them all.
Facing them now is a live televised final at Bates College. They will recite their three chosen poems in front of a packed audience at the Olin Arts Center in Lewiston and be watched around the entire state live on MPBN.
The final begins at 1:45 pm on March 23. There are still some seats left at this event. If you would like to join us please visit our eventbrite page and sign up today.
