On July 7-9 Norway will host their annual Arts Festival, sponsored by the Western Maine Arts Group and Norway Downtown. This year the festival's focus-figure is Tony Montanaro (1927-2002), the internationally acclaimed mime artist, director, and teacher who founded the Celebration Barn Theater in South Paris. The event will close down Main Street to accommodate over 100 artists at the 44th annual Norway Sidewalk Art Show along with musicians, jugglers, dancers, children's activities, drummers and giant puppets.The weekend will offer the Norway Triathlon, Poets on the Porch VIII, the annual Library Used Book Sale, and much more. All events are free and open to the public.
