Neil Gershenfeld, Director of the Center for Bits and Atoms at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, will be visiting Haystack from June 14-21 as part of the inaugural season with the new digital fabrication studio, fab lab. Establishing a fab lab at Haystack creates a regional location in Maine that is equipped with the latest technology, allowing access to machinery and expertise not readily available otherwise.
Neil, who has been a summer conference presenter and an artist in residence at Haystack, will be available to the media for photos, interviews, and to give tours of the fab lab.
Please contact Ginger Aldrich or Stuart Kestenbaum, with any questions or to schedule a visit in June. 207/348-2306 www.haystack-mtn.org
This project was supported by the Maine Arts Commission's Innovative Production Grant.
