New Media at Camden International Film Festival

The Camden International Film Festival (Sept. 30 - Oct. 02), in partnership with Asymmetrick Arts and the Maine Arts Commission is proud to present PANOPTIC, the second annual exhibition of new media installation and experimental documentary shorts. The exhibition will be at the Asymmetrick Arts Gallery 405 Main Street Rockland, Maine. The show will run from September 29 to October 03, gallery hours from 1:00 to 6:00 PM.

The show will give festival attendees a window into the rapidly growing world of experimental and non-narrative documentary art forms including installation, audio pieces and experimental shorts. On Wednesday 29 at 6:00PM the festival will feature a gallery opening and live performance by international media artist Maile Colbert. Maile is a former Mid-Coast resident whose work has taken her around the world as an artist, teacher and composer. On Saturday 02 at 4:00PM there will be an open discussion about new media and experimental documentary with Owen Smith, Kerstin Gilg, Maile Colbert and Jonathan Laurence.
