Over The Edge Conference

The Canadian/ New England presenters conference got underway at the Collins Center for the Arts today. The three day conference, designed to improve the cultural exchanges between New England and Canada, is off to a great start with performances by Canadian artists like Old Man Ludeke, Charlie A'Court and Alex Madsen from the Divorcees.

One purpose of the conference is to build stronger cross boarder networks so Canadian and American artist will have more opportunities to perform. Another goal is to build stronger networks to help the presenting organizations collaborate across boarder.

In addition to the fabulous showcasing artists there are also panel discussions designed to find solutions for presenters and artists who are worried about the issues involving international collaborations. There are also less formal gatherings scheduled for people to get to know each other.
